Dawn Bergantino is a native Rhode Islander and a proud University of Rhode Island graduate with more than 20 years of communications and public affairs experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. In addition to spending several years in federal government, working in communication on behalf of members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, Dawn has developed and managed public relations and social marketing campaigns for federal government and nonprofit clients across a variety of sectors.
She was excited when the opportunity arose in late 2018 to return to the University, which played such an important part in her professional development, to help share its story. Since joining the University, Dawn has worked with students, faculty, and staff to develop and share stories about their research, work, and accomplishments to internal and external audiences and to enhance the overall reputation of the University of Rhode Island.
Dawn received a Bachelor of Arts from the University Rhode Island and a Master of Arts from American University in Washington, D.C.
