Madeline Mitchell

Madeline joined the University of Rhode Island’s Web Communications team in 2025. As a Digital Content Strategist, she helps develop, manage and maintain URI’s various websites.

Before coming to URI, she was a Marketing Communications Specialist at Easterseals Massachusetts, where she managed their website, wrote content for newsletters and social media, and designed graphics for digital and print distribution.

She is a 2018 summa cum laude graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Professional Communications from Fitchburg State University. While there, she worked as a photographer for the university and had a portrait featured at the 2018 Visions juried honors showcase. She was also selected as one of two 2017 Visions Forum participants for her explorative thesis of how photography style and social media affect our way of seeing as sense-making.

Outside the department, she is a photographer, passionate about cooking, and loves spending time in nature.
