Susan Jamison

Susan Jamison is a graphic designer in the Publications and Creative Services office, working with its editors and photo assistant to produce marketing materials for a variety of URI’s colleges and departments. She works closely with URI’s Cooperative Extension marketing team to brand and promote its many programs.

Susan updates the University’s wayfinding materials including the campus map and self-tour guide, a complicated document that is refreshed annually and used broadly at the University, both in print and online, for Admission, the Robert J. Higgins Welcome Center, and Commencement, among others. She also works closely with URI’s Foundation & Alumni Engagement, the Alumni of Color Network, as well as other departments, all of which benefit from her creative ideas for their key events. Her projects range from designing booklets and brochures to social media graphics, video screens, digital arena graphics, The Grist reunion books, and more. She also coordinates printer specifications and quotes with the Publications and Creative Services editors.

After spending many years as an art director in the New York publishing world, Susan returned to her roots in Rhode Island to be an independent graphic designer and has been working part time in the fast-paced Publications and Creative Services office since 2016.
