Immigrants Rising has compiled a list of scholarships and fellowships that do not require proof of US citizenship or legal permanent residency, including many open to undocumented individuals without DACA
Comcast NBCUniversal-SVA Scholarship
The Comcast NBCUniversal-SVA Scholarship is focused on giving support to student veterans of any major with an interest in the entertainment industry. As long as one is enrolled for the next school year in a two or four-year university and provides proof of military service, a resume, a transcript, a few essay questions, and has at least a 3.00 GPA, then they are eligible for this scholarship.
Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund (DPSF)
The Davis-Putter scholarship is a need-based grant given to students who are able to do academic work at the college level or are enrolled in a trade or technical program and are actively working for peace and justice.
Diverse International Women of Color Study Abroad Scholarship
The Diverse International Women of Color Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance to study abroad.
Católica Fellowships for Portuguese American Students
If selected, scholarship winners will receive a full tuition and fee waiver for any two-year master’s program that is offered at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Applicants must be U.S. citizens of Portuguese decent and must have graduated college with at least a 3.0 GPA and must maintain that GPA for the program in order to have their scholarship renewed for the second year. If the program selected by the student is fully taught in Portuguese, proof of Portuguese fluency must be sent in with the application. Further, based on the program selected, applicants may also be required to pass interviews or write specific essays as part of their application.
CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program
The Undergraduate Scholarship Program is a financial needs-based initiative where students are exposed to intelligence challenges while performing meaningful work that relates to their college major. Undergraduate students, serving as scholarship recipients with CIA, attend an accredited college/university on a full-time basis and work during summer breaks at the Agency.
AAMC Medical Fellowship
Fulbright UK Summer Institutes
The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three or four week programmes for US undergraduate students. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university.
Michael P. Metcalf Memorial Fund
The funds provide grants to college students to subsidize experiences intended to broaden their perspective and enhance personal growth.
