Biography
Sarah Puckett is from southern Rhode Island and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Rhode Island (URI). She has worked in higher education for the past 11 years helping to expose students to a variety of experiential education opportunities. Her current role is the Undergraduate Research and Experiential Learning Coordinator for the College of the Environment and Life Sciences (CELS) at URI. In this position she oversees the CELS Coastal and Environmental Fellowship Program, which is a summer research program that provides undergraduates with opportunities to participate in ongoing environmental research, education, or public outreach programs designed to address current environmental and societal issues. She also collaborates with others within the University, as well as outside companies and organizations, to help provide students with hands-on learning through research, internships, and fellowships which will assist in propelling students into graduate school or even a career.
