The following are the learning outcomes that the Department of Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematical Sciences has specified for its Graduate Program.

    • State, use, and prove essential results in broad areas of mathematics
    • State, use, and prove essential results in specialized subject areas
    • Apply mathematical arguments and techniques to solve problems
  2. Conduct advanced mathematical computations
    • Set up and perform advanced computations
    • Use technology and computational methods effectively
  3. Construct rigorous mathematical arguments
    • Develop and validate logical proofs
    • Critically evaluate mathematical reasoning
  4. Engage in mathematical research
