Navy STEM K-12 activities include tinfoil boats, 3D pens, water bottle submarines, and SeaPerch submersibles, to name a few – these activities are designed to foster creativity and hone problem-solving skills in the vein of naval engineering, and strive to generate an interest in naval themes for younger audiences. URI Navy STEM works closely with GEMS-Net to deliver these experiences to schools around Rhode Island during the summer and school year.
