The lab has a new visual identity and one shared set of templates. Use them for every talk, poster, report, proposal, letter and figure from now on. They replace the 2021 logos and templates.
When amplitude changes the story
In nonlinear structures, amplitude changes frequency, mode shape and stability.
The tagline states what the lab studies. Use the short line on covers and title slides, and the long line where a sentence of context helps.
What’s new

- Slides. Matching PowerPoint and Keynote templates in the new style.

- Figure guide. One figure style in Python, MATLAB and Mathematica: journal widths, Computer Modern labels, the NLD figure palette and vector PDF export. Style files and four worked examples are included. Figure preparation guide (PDF) and style files.
Where to find them
Everything is in the NLD brand 2026 folder on Google Drive. Sign in with your URI account to open it. Start with the README in that folder.
For writing, start with Writing scientific reports and research papers. All lab guides are collected on Teaching and resources.
Lab members using Claude through the URI-NLD organization can ask it to apply the NLD brand. It loads the same colours, fonts and figure rules.
Questions or requests for a new template or icon go to David Chelidze.
