Biography
Shari B. Broder, Esq. has been a labor arbitrator and fact finder since 1992. She has resolved cases for many state, county and municipal units of government and federal agencies, private businesses and individuals throughout the Northeast and beyond, both in that capacity and as a mediator and hearing officer. She is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, and is the co-chair of the New England Chapter. In addition to serving as Chair of the Maine Board of Arbitration and Conciliation since 1999, Shari serves as alternate chair of the Maine Labor Relations Board, and on the labor arbitration panels of the American Arbitration Association, Labor Relations Connection, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, New Hampshire Public Employees Labor Relations Board, as well as number of permanent arbitration panels. Shari taught the employee relations course at the University of Southern Maine, and served as President of the Maine LERA chapter and the Maine Association of Mediators. When she isn’t arbitrating, she loves to travel, create and experience art in many genres, hang out with her kids and granddaughter, watch birds, and spend time in nature walking by the ocean and in the mountains.
