Biography
Charles Ruggerio, Esq. is a licensed attorney in Rhode Island and New York, and the Principal of the Law Office of Charles A. Ruggerio.
For twenty years, Charles Ruggerio has focused his practice on counseling and representing public bodies in various labor/employment, administrative, and civil litigation matters while also advising them on matters related to the Open Meetings Act and the Access to Public Records Act. He has successfully represented clients in numerous arbitrations, disciplinary matters, and high-profile contract negotiations.
He has considerable experience guiding clients on issues related to the Teacher Tenure Act, Collective Bargaining, and procurement and construction law and has represented clients in administrative proceedings numerous arbitration proceedings and in civil litigation before the Rhode Island Superior Court and Supreme Courts.
Prior to his private practice, Charles served as Deputy Solicitor for the City of Providence for thirteen years, representing and advising the Providence School Board, the Providence Fire Trial Board and the City Council’s Finance Committee.
Charles is a Member of the Rhode Island Chapters of the Labor Employment Relations Association (LERA) and the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) and is a frequent speaker on labor and employment law topics at continuing education law seminars.
