Biography
Harvey M. Shrage is Professor Emeritus at the College of Business at Western New England University, where he taught for thirty-four years. His courses included Labor-Management Relations and Employment Law.
Professor Shrage has served as a labor arbitrator in both private- and public-sector cases since 1988. He is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators and serves on numerous arbitration panels, including the American Arbitration Association, Labor Relations Connection, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the State of Connecticut, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has also been appointed to several contractual arbitration panels.
Before joining the faculty at Western New England University, Professor Shrage served as an attorney with the Hartford Regional Office of the National Labor Relations Board and later as a labor attorney for the United States Postal Service.
Professor Shrage earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
