Biography

Sarah Garraty, a 1980 graduate of Northeastern Law School, has been an arbitrator and mediator specializing in labor/management disputes for about thirty years.  Previously, she was a hearing officer/counsel with Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission and a mediator/arbitrator and vice chair of the Massachusetts Board of Conciliation and Arbitration.

Ms. Garraty was an adjunct professor at Northeastern Law School, where she has taught both Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negotiations for over twenty years.  She has also worked extensively as a negotiation and mediation trainer in corporate, non-profit and public sector settings.

Ms. Garraty is a former New England Regional Chair, a Governor and a Vice President of the National Academy of Arbitrators.  a Cushion Gavin Awardee and a former Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
