Identity: Queer

What motivates you to be visible on campus?

I wished I had out queer role models when I was a student. My goal is to be visible, out and supportive to LGBTQ students and employees at URI and in the student affairs profession.

My research, teaching and service all include LGBTQ topics and people. My teaching and research both include a focus on oppression, advocacy and activism of LGBTQ college students, staff and faculty. I also volunteer my time in service (e.g., training, workshops, presentations, committees, commissions) to the university and my profession in order to foster social justice.
