What motivates you to be visible (or a visible ally) on campus?

I remember how affirming it was to see and know other lgbtq people when I was first coming out (and now even) and I want to provide that reassurance to our students and other faculty and staff. I also think that a sense of community is important and am excited about the potential of this project to build even more of that on campus.
