What motivates you to be visible on campus?

Every student on campus deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. I have devoted my professional life to the study and teaching of social inequalities and my personal life to advocating for the kind of world that uplifts and affirms all people. I teach courses in Sociology and in Gender & Women’s Studies that seek to center diverse perspectives and experiences, including those of LGBTQ scholars and students.
