What motivates you to be visible on campus?

I hope to be a resource and motivating factor for other people on campus. I want people to know that queer people not only exist at URI, but are out, proud, and celebrating their lives.

I have over 15 years of experience doing advocacy and social justice work, particularly in higher education. I’ve worked with a number of diversity issues through the years and focus on intersectionality, LGBTQ student development, students of color, and social justice in my research and practice.
