What motivates you to be visible on campus?

I have been out as a lesbian since my own undergraduate years in the 1990s and though the US is a different place now I still have to decide when and to whom to come out and I know how tiring it is. As a healthcare provider, teacher, and scientist, I have often wanted to be visible to my patients, students, and colleagues and not found an easy way to do so. Happy to be part of this community!
