What motivates you to be visible on campus?

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I feel it is important to know that our students feel seen, supported, and affirmed to be their true authentic self during their time at URI and within their future careers. Additionally, as an educator of future healthcare providers, it is crucial that we prepare individuals in the classroom and with scholarship to care for individuals of gender identities and sexual orientations.
