What motivates you to be visible on campus?

I believe it is important for students as well as faculty and staff to be a visible ally to the LGBTQ community. I have incorporated LBGTQ related research into my courses, I avoid gender specific terms and prefer to use “they” whenever possible, I have supported students of the LGBTQ community.
