What motivates you to be visible on campus

I am out because I want everyone to know there are all kinds of kinds. OK, now that I’m done quoting country songs, seriously, I simply think that the more we see and understand the differences among the people we like and respect, the more those differences are liked and respected. I also want to be a soft place for students going through hard things to land.
