Clayton Ross

Biography

Clayton Ross is an Education Specialist in the Office of Educator Excellence and Certification Services supporting educator preparation in Rhode Island. Clayton has been fortunate to have had a range of educational opportunities prior to his work at RIDE—most recently as the Performance & Accountability Specialist for Curriculum & Instruction with Providence Public Schools. Prior to coming to Providence, he was a High School teacher and Instructional Coach in Michigan. Each of these roles reinforced his belief that quality teachers are an invaluable asset and improving teacher effectiveness is an important lever to increasing student learning at scale. Clayton holds and bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in Urban Education Policy from Brown University.
