Biography

Dr. Diana Marshall, Director of the Office of Teacher Education at URI. Dr. Marshall holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Rhode Island/Rhode Island College joint program. Her primary responsibilities are to facilitate district partnerships, as well as act as the liaison to the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) regarding policies that guide educator preparation. Dr. Marshall has acted as the URI liaison to multiple on-campus and off-campus groups related to education and teacher preparation in Rhode Island including RIACTE, the RI Partnership and Placements Consortium, and the Providence Children and Youth Cabinet. Dr. Marshall is a former public school teacher and served in several teacher leader positions, including as the coordinator for the new teacher mentor program and as the facilitator or several workshops centered around anti-racist, anti-biased action in the classroom for teachers, administrators, community members, and parents.
