Hilda Potrzeba, M.Ed.

Biography

Hilda M. Potrzeba, M.Ed. is an Educator Specialist at the Rhode Island Department of Education. Previously she taught for the Lincoln Public School District in Rhode Island for 20 years. Hilda and her colleague developed the first fully included regular/special education model in Lincoln which remains in implementation for grades K and 1. Hilda earned bachelor’s degrees from Rhode Island College in Elementary Education and Spanish, as well as a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has provided Peer Coaching Training to the Jackson, Mississippi School District, and has led Mentor/Coach training for the RI Department of Education and RI educators for many years. Growing and supporting young educators is her passion.

Hilda believes that the children, who are our future, are always at the heart of everything we do to grow professionally and to improve the education system.
