Biography

Karen Festa is a mom of 2 amazing daughters, former special education teacher and a passionate Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator serving within the Narragansett Public Schools in Narragansett, Rhode Island. She was awarded the 2018 Narragansett Schools District Teacher of the Year. She was also a finalist for the 2020 Rhode Island State Teacher of the Year. She is a member of the Rhode Island SEL Statewide Committee and the Rhode Island CEEDAR State Leadership Team. As an educational consultant she presents in various school districts on topics such as; aligning IEP’s to CCSS, motivating and engaging all students, Universal Design for Learning, and social-emotional learning.
