Biography
Brandon Sousa is a Senior Career Education Specialist in the Center for Career & Experiential Education at the University of Rhode Island. He earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology at URI, along with minors in Leadership Studies, Sociology, and Chemistry. While a student, he was actively involved across campus as a Resident Advisor, Orientation Leader, URI 101 Mentor, and in Greek Life, experiences that helped shape his passion for student development and engagement. After completing his master’s degree in Higher Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he also worked as an academic counselor, Brandon returned to URI in 2017 as a career advisor and has been supporting students in career exploration and experiential learning ever since. As a mentor, he encourages students to let curiosity guide their journey and to say yes to new opportunities, sharing the mindset he lived by in college: “Allow your curiosity to lead the way.”
