Biography

Christopher Pepper
Christopher Pepper is a Technician IV in ITS Networking at the University of Rhode Island. He first arrived at URI through regular admission and spent eight years as a full-time student, during which he made a significant academic transition from Nursing to Engineering in his fourth year. After completing his studies, Christopher continued his professional growth at URI, joining ITS in 2018. He has since earned a Master’s degree in Cyber Security and continues to support the university through his work in networking and technology services. Drawing from his own non-linear academic journey, Christopher is committed to sharing the guidance he once wished he had as a student. He encourages students to embrace challenge as a core part of learning and to remain open to new experiences, perspectives, and opportunities. His message to students is simple: challenge yourself – if you are not being challenged, you are not learning. Don’t be afraid to try anything.
