Her professional background is rooted in residential life, where she has worked closely with college students as they navigate transitions, build community, and develop independence. She is passionate about ensuring students know they are supported by a broad network of staff across campus who are committed to helping them succeed. Kayla encourages students to reach out, ask questions, and take advantage of the many resources available to them. She reminds students that it is normal to feel uncomfortable during major transitions and that no one is expected to have everything figured out right away. Her advice is to stay curious, build supportive friendships, get involved on campus, and allow yourself time to adjust and grow into the college experience.
