Dr. Kristin Ridge (She/Hers) serves as the Associate Dean of Students for Community Standards at the University of Rhode Island. In this role, she leads the Office of Community Standards and actively contributes to key initiatives, including the Behavioral Intervention Team, the Sexual Assault Response Team, and the Rhody F1rst Team, which supports first-generation college students. She is also a Diversity Advocate in Student Affairs and a member of the Student Success Team. Dr. Ridge has worked in higher education for over 20 years, primarily in Housing and Residence Life, before joining URI in May of 2021. 

A proud first-generation college graduate, she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in English and American Literature and Russian Language Studies from New York University, a master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration from NYU, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Johnson & Wales University. Her doctoral research earned the Dissertation of the Year award from ASCA in 2025.

Dr. Ridge’s professional credentials include certifications in Student Affairs Law and Policy through NASPA, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida, and Mental Health First Aid Instruction from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Additionally, she is certified in Student Affairs and Student Conduct Administration through the Higher Education Consortium.
