Agenda: Union Bill, arming campus police, litter
Start: 6:32
End: 7:10
Future projects: issue with the run, hide, fight slogan

Rode: Architects coming back November 6th with the final plan. Going from 130,000 square ft to 200,000 square feet. Union renovations Bill voting passes: 8-0-0. Safety and lighting walk went really well 33 people attended!! What were the strengths of it?

Hetland: Groups and their routes were perfect, maybe make the groups smaller next time

Rode: I’ll think about it may work it may not, the master electrician is sending me his list of lights that aren’t out and I’m sending out thank you cards soon. As far as broken blue lights, I’ve addressed those as “immediate action”. I’m thinking give out a few flashlights to people in each group. Also ask for the number of the blue light to keep a numbered list of it. What can we improve on for next semester? Because were totally do one in the spring.

Yip: as far as paying for the repairs isn’t that a liability for us if we don’t pay for it?

Pav: no it’s on the university not senate, but wont the construction by east hall going to slow down the response time if a blue Is pressed near Chaffee?

Rode: we’re doing a survey monkey for arming campus police, saying it’s for students only it’ll says what your ID #, live on or off campus, do you want to arm campus police if so scale of 1-5, 5 being the strongest. Vice president Dugan said we could use the master list service. Our goal is 3,000 responses.

Cody: talked to Dugan about the “run hide fight” thing their making a video for it but their distribution for it
is very poor.

Rode: litter is an issue on campus and It’s not a lack of trashcans it’s a lack of students not using them.

MacAteer: the placement of the trashcans is off there are none in residential areas where they should be.

Gonzalez: most of the things college students use cannot be recycled.

Hetland: they have the “what you can cannot recycle things”

Rode: got a weird email from the director of lands and grounds about litter on campus, addressed to
“Diana” but it’s not sent to Diana I don’t know, anyway it’s saying that litter is an issue and that senate and
the tour guides want to help with it. We should look into what other campus’s do for their litter problem it’ll
help us out with the start of this issue.
