DISCUSSION:

 

• Narragansett issues

o   67 arrests last week

o   Major issues include parking – street ban, not enough driveway space for renters’ cars (esp. houses 5 people+)

• Have renters (owners) talk to town council about parking ban
• Senate rep at town council meetings* (IFC wants to send reps as well)

o   Police harassment issue – targeting students (stopping students in street – students should get badge number, license plate, time/date)

• Bringing up past incident ‘thank your friends at Green Ln’ during arrests

o   Enough evidence, interest to attract media attention?

• Students should be recording questionable interactions

• Elections coming up – November

o   Absentee ballots – need someone to take charge

o   Every state different – need to know how to inform students about the process

• Uber – opinions?

o   How to raise Uber awareness, utilize Uber

o   Already being used, but weren’t able to come to first night

o   What are Uber’s prices, how many people are already using it?

o   Advertising – DOM? Or word of mouth
