Student Senate
- Request to move $500 from College Readership line (809) to Office Supplies line (109). Vote (4-0-1)
- Co-Sponsorship Request from Senate to SAA for Oozeball for $300. Vote (3-2-1) This is going to the floor for full senate approval.
SSDP
- Here to request funds for Hempfest which is on April 28th. In addition to music they have lots of vendors signed up, and are planning competitions on the quad to engage students. They are coming late because they have experienced some executive troubles. Requesting $4125 for ATR Treehouse, $250 for the Law Enforcement against prohibition speaker for a total Contingency request of $4375. Vote (6-0-0)
o Additionally voting on a tax grant to supplement this programming contingency at the exact amount.
o Requesting Immediate Consideration at a %10 fine, because of second time IC. The group is charging vendors $50 and see it feasible to raise the additional funds. Therefore the contingency grant is for $3938. Vote (6-0-1). Vote THIS WEEK.
- Additionally Requesting a Loan for $900 for T-shirts. This was a successful happening last year, and cost us $1200 last year. This year they are getting less t-shirts. Vote (6-1-0) Vote this week.
- As well as $50 co-sponsorship from EMA.
Asian Student Association
- Putting on their annual culture show in Edwards on April 30th. Requesting funds for lights and sound for the duration of the event which is going to cost only $40. Vote (7-0-0).
- The group needs to sign signature cards ASAP.
Airsoft Club
- Requesting a storage unit for the off-campus storage of equipment. Group members have equipment that they want to donate to the group if there is storage available. The unit is $405. In order to facilitate compliance with the Student Handbook the group would need this item. Vote (6-0-1). Capital Improvements Request,
- The group must have a contract with the Xtreme Sports owner, regarding the storage of this unit.
WRIU – Capital Improvements Request
- Requesting around $17,000 for Streaming, Automation, and additional equipment.
- The remote equipment used to broadcast coverage of sporting events, is about to become extinct, without working analog telephone lines, they will not be able to cover commencement or sporting events outside of the Ryan Center.
- This equipment would be sustainable for the long term, it will be easier to train users, and the equipment will only be enhanced in the future. The economic life of these items is expected to be over a decade.
- They would be able to supplement half of these costs from their reserve account. For a final request of $7600 for the streaming equipment. Vote (7-0-0), vote on the April 25th.
