o   P: We can’t vote on you since you didn’t have formal elections

o   W: set up a consistent meeting time so it can be easier on the members

  • Breakers:
  • Advertising: Can we just post anywhere?

o   P: Nope, do not do that. There are guidelines.

o   S: Here are the forms that talk about what you can do. This is the Master advertising list

o   P: whoa, do you normally carry that stuff around?

o   S: What do you think I am? I’m a super senator. J

  • g.Safety:
  • We have had many years’ experience break dancing but no trained safety
  • P: you may want to get risk management waivers

o   P: It’s not the activity that’s actually dangerous, it’s the tricks

  • P: I’ll email Risk management and get back to you

Safety Waivers

  • We used to not be so crazy over waivers until 2 years ago
  • Not all groups need waivers and while it would be good to have them, they’re not required for all groups.
  • Alima and eXposure don’t need waivers but Breakers may want them.

Re-Recognition

  • Blue: in paper not yet scanned
  • Model Constitutions
  • Decent number of groups that have submitted paperwork haven’t submitted model constitutions

o   We’ll have the presidents and treasurers sign anyway and then get the model constitutions

  • W: we should just have a big meeting
  • E: it’s hard since members have schedules and W & B have Finance
  • W: we just need quorum
  • E: send me your schedules and perhaps we can find another time to meet
  • Chair absence
  • E: I won’t be there next next week (Oct 22) so we need to get and have everything done ASAP.

o   Blanchette knows so she’ll be running the meeting

  • Student Athletic Advisory Committee
  • Contact person isn’t in contact with group anymore
  • No rerec paperwork from them
  • W: they should have a compact since they aren’t selective but they really are.
  • Category Changes
  • Sign Language isn’t getting funding from departments or anything
  • Absence from President’s meeting
  • Stewart and Pishdadian are planning a separate meeting for those not that.

Improvements

  • We should put all the re-rec paperwork in one link
  • Go from PDF to Google Forms or something

o   Needs to be printable

  • Starting clubs
  • We need to outline how to start a club better

o   Include protocol for proper elections
