  1. Report of the President

-Organization Changes

-Executive position bylaw changes

We need to change the bylaws soon. Look over job titles, and say what’s done and add what you do that might not be in the position. Think big, and make the position of value.

-Making a difference – social change issues

I want us to take on a social change issue. There are a few ones that we can think about. I think we should brainstorm ideas now.

-Think of ways to promote anti-drunk driving

  1. Report of the Finance Chair

Anderson: Finance, SOARC Chair and Coordinator can witness signature cards; FBP has reduced their recruitment line to save money, security groups no longer pay ½ they pay 1/3, the other 1/3 is paid by the union and the other 1/3 is paid by us. Now, if your event requires security, non-URI students pay $5, and students need to pay at least $2. This handbook gives us the ability for water sales and coat check to receive that. The fines are changed for immediate consideration. Reimbursements got reduced from $100 to $50. This was to protect them. This will help reinforce purchase requisitions. Food is clearer now, so the language is different. Groups need to pay 50% minimum for instruction, now.

Offense changes:

Originally:

1st offense: 25% penalty

2nd: 50% frozen

3rd: 100% frozen

Now:

1st: 25% frozen

2nd: 50% frozen

3rd: 100% frozen
