Cameras in Dorms

 

• A lot of money, high level of sexual assault on campus

• Cameras in Eddy, Wiley, Garrahy and Heathman

• Women was caught posing as a college student and she stole things from Garrahy

• Research other colleges who have cameras

• Review camera form, you have to fill out one, only police can see videos on camera, but hall director can ask to see it too

• Depending on what housing wants, we would take to survey people, talking to people, finding different ways student population feel, opinion bill if we felt students felt passionate about it or not.

• Some of the dorms doors are very easy to break into

 

Blue Lights

• Thinking about having a blue light at the far end of tucker
• 43 blue light was out, one in front of Heathman

Housing

• Want to get rid of cable on campus
• Ask Director Sears if we are going to keep paying communication fee or is it going to be reduced

ANYTHING ELSE…

Going to check elevators next week, look up Rhode Island regulations for elevators. Going to take stand on off-campus housing because it’s going to affect housing at URI.
