COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

• Narragansett Town Council
  • The town manager, Pamela Nolan, has passed away
    • Chairwoman Montecalvo and President Rode will be working on a condolence card
  • Planning Board, Narragansett
    • 8 February 2016 there is a planning board meeting at Narragansett Town Hall
    • President Rode will be speaking at this meeting
      • Committee members should create questions on topics that should be addressed for next committee meeting
    • A large student body is wanted to represent at this meeting
    • DOMR and President Rode are working on spreading information to the student body
    • This meeting will be strictly upon the ordinance changes
    • 17 February 2016, this will be brought to the Town Council
    • Senator Donnelly may be going and has offered car pooling for the committee
    • The Town Council may be voting upon the planning board recommendations over Spring break. Date is tentative. Updates will be followed.
  • Voter Registration for Students
    • Narragansett 2100 club is starting to take charge in this
    • Voter qualifications from residence claims must be further researched

  • President Rode and Chairwoman Montecalvo are thinking of having coffee time or low-key programming in spreading information open to students.
  • Chairwoman Montecalvo will be meeting someone from HRL and the student intern from the commuter housing, will keep the committee updates regarding these meetings.
