COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

 

  • President
    • Discussion on Tentative Elections Schedule
    • Met with Equity Council last Friday. Bringing bill on Indigenous Peoples’ Day is being put in Faculty Senate.
    • As the year ends, I am going to email Public Services to get information on next year’s plans for parking.
  • Treasurer
    • Not much going on.
    • Kudos to Dan for looking for cheaper prices for magnets.
  • DOC
    • Secret Snowflake starting this week.
    • Nominate for Senator Sunday.
    • Newsletter is done.
    • Minutes done.
    • I am more active with twitter and less on Instagram.
  • CIO
    • Bimonthly Report
      • Bi-Annual/Annual Report
        • Not necessary to make it every two months
        • Will either be a report to the next executive committee or for next semester.
      • Liaisons
      • Moving to 314 for future executive meetings?
      • Moderator discussion with Carl
      • Inviting Carl to committee meetings, please.

      • Ideas on how to reduce theft.
    • Campus
      • No report.
    • Cultural
      • The Committee planned the Accessibility Challenge.
      • The November Diversity event is happening next Thursday, the date may be changed to the first day of December.
    • External
      • Purchase requisition for magnets has gone through.
      • Commuter Appreciation day is soon. The 2100 is sponsoring. The may come to open forum to explain.
      • Rhody Outpost is tomorrow from 3 PM – 6 PM. Greek Life supplied some supplies.
      • The Committee thought about a renters’ guide. Zach Yip and Sam the Lawyer drafted one.
    • Finance
      • I have a contingency grant for WRIU to go to New York. It will be less than $100. They put in for money for gas and tolls, but they can just do reimbursement.
      • Zach Yip has been working hard for asset technology stuff. He found the program and I ran through the manual this weekend. As you have seen, some of our groups are having fights over who owns what.
      • I also had Zach make an asset checkout form for nonstudent groups.
      • I am going to work with Austin on budgeting. They are opening this December. We are going to request a large amount of time to do it.
    • SOARC
      • Liaisons have been assigned to the groups. They will be doing November check-in meetings. The President’s meeting is happening December 4th.
      • I am presenting the full list of Re-Recognized groups. There are various indications that illustrate the situation of the group. For example, some have asterisks and highlighting that mean something.
