  • President
    • Tobacco Free Campus
      • Survey presented good results
    • Sexual Violence Prevention Committee generating final report soon.
    • Holiday Party is coming up.
  • Vice President
    • The scholarship recipients will be notified soon.
    • Commencement Committee is happening. I am brainstorming different advertising methods.
    • Senate Mentees; I have a list.
    • We are in talks for venues for Formal.
  • Treasurer
    • Sam has been filling in for Treasurer as the Finance Chair because she can sign-off on any purchasing paperwork. She is a signatory for all student activity dollars.

    • Bulletin Boards in the Senate office make me want to (unspecified sentence ending).

    • 3 People for Public Forum
    • VC for Executive Committee

    • Thursday is Faculty Senate
    • Indigenous People’s Day is happening
    • Provost’s Office is responsive to the IDP Program. Johnny led this project. The Provost is sending the idea to the Deans and then some.
    • Final Exams are happening, and we are going to be in the library handing our coffee among other things.
    • Complaints are also happening.
  • Campus
    • We talked about what we can be doing now as Finals approach.
    • The safety of the library is our priority. We are interested in getting an officer there during busy hours.
    • I am planning on meeting with the Committee to develop new ideas tomorrow.
  • Cultural
    • The Committee talked about the accessibility challenge.
    • Only building that presented any concerns was CBLS.
    • The handicap seats in the lecture halls have been broken for a long time and no one has fixed it during the last semester.
    • We got a good deal of money for Spirit of Giving,
    • I have been working with Laura for the yoga event.
  • External
    • You may have noticed all of my posts on Gavel Gang about the Commuter Appreciation Day
    • Rhody Outpost is happening 12/13
    • I met with the 2100. They talked to me about their plans for the year.
    • New liaison position considered from the 2100 and Narragansett Town Council.
  • Finance
    • Budgeting is open, but groups have not received the link yet.
    • The restriction on the budget will be that they must sign in with an @rhodysenate.org email.
    • Zach Yip applied for a listserv for the student groups.
    • If you have an external account, you must submit the bank statements.
    • The President’s Meeting happened last night.
    • The calendar is being finalized.
    • The division of student affairs is hosting an event where groups can have a table.
  • SOARC
    • Three recognition bills for the CIO
    • Clubs emails are going to be expected.
    • The rest of the President’s Meeting went well.
    • Touching base with the CFO about the stipend calendar.
  • New Business
    • Budgeting for SOLC
