Library Meeting
- Meditation room is now located in Fascitelli
- The library should begin construction on the new Daily Grind in about 4 weeks
- Steve Mellow, head of dining, is the primary contact
- There is a temporary Mother’s Room located on the Second Floor, by the elevator
- Renovation is needed for it’s final location on the second floor
- construction has not yet started
- They are not yet advertising the temporary location of the Mother’s Room but they are open and like the idea of it

Interdisciplinary Majors
- Vice-Chair Morabito presented the information found when researching this topic
- Took a look as to what is needed to create a minor here at URI from scratch
- Found out that if a student wishes to create their own minor they can choose the option to: “3) related studies from more than one department under the sponsorship of a qualified faculty member.”
- An example of a minor that people do this with is Criminology
- Looked at examples of interdisciplinary majors at other schools, such as:
- UCONN
- UMASS
- BROWN

- Discovered that URI does offer a program to develop one’s own major, however it is not offered at the Kingston campus, it is currently only offered at the Providence campus
