COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

 

• OER
  • Library doesn’t want student senate to conduct work too quickly because faculty isn’t ready to begin dialogue
  • We want to create flyers to send to faculty telling them to attend a meeting this coming week regarding OER
  • Facebook event will also be created in order to advertise Tuesday’s informational session regarding OER
  • A meeting with Richard Coolata and also faculty senate are Thursday Nov 17
    • To do: create google doc to brainstorm questions to ask at Coolata’s meeting
• Library hours
  • Trying to extend library hours is difficult because of union rules, not budgeting concerns
• Goodybags
  • Allowed to use senate funds to create them and hand them out to students
    • Cheap school supplies can be found at Providence recycling center
      • Russo will go November 16^th to collect supplies
    • Bags will consist of school supplies, inspirational quote, and final exam rights
