DISCUSSION:

TOPIC 1: $6000 phone in senate office

  • We do not understand why $6000 was spent on a phone.
  • We would like to consider cheaper options.

TOPIC 2: HRL

  • Senator Bhat has arranged a meeting with Mr. Frankie Minor to discuss safety and privacy issues within dorms.
  • We think that there should be a door and latch in showers rather than shower curtains that might threaten someone’s safety and privacy.

TOPIC 3: On campus program

  • Senator Bhat along with Senator Morrabito has arranged a meeting with Linda Foley to discuss about the on-campus program offered to international students.

TOPIC 3: Dining

  • Dining services offered at URI got great feedback from other universities that visited.
  • Dining has started to hold food truck nights, which seem to be very popular.

TOPIC 4: Payroll

  • The lawyer is looking into time and a half.
