1. Betsy Devos withdraws Obama era Sexual Assault protection on college campuses

● Discussed Obama’s “Dear Colleague” letter
● Obama lowered the standard of proof for sexual assault victim cases
● Under Obama College campuses not abiding by the title 9 rules and recommendations would potentially lose federal fundings
● Betsy Devos by withdrawing these protections, is making it harder for sexual assault victims to get justice.
● Betsy Devos wants the accusers to get due process and she is raising the standard of proof

2. Sexual assault on campus

● A girl was recently raped by an armed hitchhiker following ‘the migos’ concert
● There was an article written by the 5 Cent Cigar about a girl who was raped at a greek
house, and she claimed that nothing was done about it.

3. Initiative to protect potential victims of sexual assaults on campus

● Talk to established personels and/or departments who are responsible for responding to
sexual assault allegations.
● We will contact the newly formed advisory council for sexual assault. Kathy Collins and
President Buck are members of that council.
● We will do more research regarding this issue, and in turn write an opinion bill requesting
President Dooley to adhere by Obama Era rules regarding sexual assaults
● Thinking about showing the movie “ The hunting ground” about sexualt assault
4. Blue Light and Safety Walk
● Date and time to be determined, we are thinking early October
● We will invite usual guests like President Dooley
5. Handicap accessibility
● What buildings are and are not handicapped accessible
● We will make a list of them
