Ÿ judges confirmed: Carl, director of MU, new associate VP Laurie, Penny Rosenthal, director of women’s center

Ÿ pick a time: 11am

Ÿ as of this morning 8 teams signed up

Ÿ Austin talked about it yesterday at presidents’ meeting

**4 floor seats to Khalid as a prize!!

Ÿ challenge item ideas:

• Mini drink umbrellas

Ÿ toppings: ($300 budget)

• Sour patch kids
• Pretzels
• Twizzlers
• Hershey kisses
• Graham crackers

 

-monthly diversity event

Ÿ reached out to director Galleon

Ÿ telling him we can co-sponsor an event, preoccupied with Ace of Cakes to really program a new event

 

-next month = Women’s History Month

 

-Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Ÿ can’t change on calendar right away, but faculty still likes the idea

Ÿ but URI is a state school, need to follow federal law, don’t have the sovereignty to just change our calendar

Ÿ dual calendar? Faculty calendar w Indigenous Peoples’ Day but official calendar still Columbus Day

Ÿ Nicolette going with Riley and Johnny to next calendar committee’s meeting

 

-tomorrow or Thurs:

Ÿ will divide up groups for T’s and put it on Gavel Gang

 

-committee field trip to Walmart at some point to get toppings for Ace of Cakes
