DROPBOX FOR CULTURAL COMPLAINTS

• On URI website, good way for direct feedback from student body
• Along the lines of campus and academic
• Getting the word out there and letting students of URI know what cultural’s mission statement is as a committee
• Instagram page/social media?
• Flyers in residence halls
• Partnering with RAs for programs in residence halls to spread word
• Magnets to spread word about committee

SEXUAL VIOLENCE AWARENESS TRAINING

• Jenny met with Hannah Woodhouse earlier in the week
• Talked about getting general Senate trained on sexual violence awareness
• Possibly getting executive committee trained, cultural committee, and/or general
• Watka: should be mandatory for executive committee, an option for general members
• Jenny would like to reach out to professionals in the women’s center and have them come to committee to meet members

 

CULTURAL EVENTS/CULTURAL GROUPS ON CAMPUS

• Uhuru Sasa is hosting a fashion show
• Getting more involved with attending and spreading the word on cultural events on campus
• Using social media to promote other cultural groups on campus
