COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:
- Student Affairs Diversity Committee
- Meets first Wednesday of every month at 1 pm
- Trying to get more student representation

- Solomon: Meeting with Melvin
- MCC: Working with a group, MUSIC
- Multicultural Unity and Student Involvement Council
- They want to request money to give to cultural groups
- Basically a sub- senate for the MCC
- Bruce believes MUSIC should exist, but with limited powers
- Use MUSIC to help us with the end of semester event
- End of Semester Event:
- Work with MCC and MUSIC
- To get cultural food:
- Contact Dining Services to have them fill out a form saying that the multicultural foods we’re interested in are not possible for them to make (forcing us to get the food from other vendors)
- Bonfire
- Alternative to this: smaller events weekly/ monthly
- Rhody Paws
- Start contacting ASAP
- Concept:
- Dog goes through training with it’s owner
- Receives certification to be a service dog
- Go to hospitals, schools, help wounded soldiers, etc.
- Very well trained, friendly
- Way for a people to feel better
- Brings people together, love of dogs
- Out on the quad, let dogs roam
- Free
- Counseling services is present
- Tentative Date: Monday April 28, second to last day of classes
- Rain Date: Tuesday April 29, last day of classes
- Additional Ideas:
- If you give a donation, you can get a picture with a dog and Rhody with a fancy camera
- Rubber bands for cash box
