COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

  • Thanks to everyone who came to Rhodyville! J We went through every single apple!
  • Spirit of Giving – Patterson
  • You adopt a family from Rhode Island and you get a wish list. Get the gifts and drop it of at a location. It doesn’t start until the 13th.
  • We’re adopting a family as Senate – a family with one child! We need to file paperwork to finalize it.
  • If people want to adopt a family: the form is at the Student Senate office and online as well.
  • There’s also general donations (like gift cards, etc.), but they’re stressing more on the family than general donations
  • They need people on December 6th at the University Club to move gifts, etc.
  • Ace of Cakes
  • Timeline (backwards):
    • Dec 3rd: the event
    • Nov 26th: cakes ordered – Plante
    • Nov 19th: Purchase rec in – Cicero
  • We want to know who wants to sign up
    • Nov 12th- 16th: we want to get a big push campaign
  • Faceboook (events, class page, personal pages)
  • Booth at the Union and Hope
  • Talk to directors of academic, staff, etc.
  • 14th & 15th (Wednesday and Thursday) 11AM to 3PM
  • Thursday for outside and Wednesday for booth – Sim 
    • Nov 6th: Flyers up at the Union, printed – Sim
    • Nov 8th: email push – Studley & Cicero
  • Student Org Presidents, Honors Students, Greek Life, HRL, Staff, Athletics, etc.
    • Nov 6th: President’s meeting – Cicero
  • Assignments (may be repetitive):
    • Finance: cake, frostings, costumes, etc. – Sit and Cicero
    • SEA Approvement – Sim
    • Risk management – Conboy
    • Cake Orders – Plante
    • Cake Costumes – Conboy and Patterson
  • Logistics of the Event
    • $10 reservation for cake (2 to 5 people)
    • Potential to make it into a charity event: not this year.
    • Team name of the event (not posters!)
    • Supplies
  •   20-30 9in round yellow unfrosted cakes (first 30 teams to sign up)
  • We need frosting as well from them (two for ten)
  • Some basic essential items (toppings, caramel, icing, frosting tips, bowls, etc. zip-loc bags,)
  • Talk to Brit and Studley about supplies  – Cicero
    • We need to assign tables to the groups
