EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 17th, 2017

COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:
• President o Emailed the Women’s Center for retreat event RE: Sexual Assault o Elections for Spring o Modernizing Elections o Updating Accounts Office o List for Kathy and Thorr
o Sailing
• Vice President o Retreat is on the 29th o 1:1’s need to get done o Scholarship, only 2 applicants
• Treasurer
o Sometime this week to pick up paper towels and other stuff o Tell me if you need something
o SOLC – submitted an after the fact of $5000, taking away office supplies
• Chief Information Officer o I do Kudos and make fun online quizzes
• Director of Communications o I am finally releasing the t-shirt design tomorrow
o Cigar interviews
o Cigar has doing well on Senate Reports
o Ads, we have lots going out about Safety and Lighting, Diversity, and Fall
Fest o IT Gov., tomorrow, send completes my way
• Finance Committee o Finance Trainings are over
o I finished making a video of the presentation and I put it on the Senate Computer and groups can come in and watch it. This avoids the need to do one-on-ones.
o Next Monday, I may not be back for committee. I may reach out to someone to determine whether I can make it.
• SOARC
o ReRec started this week and we plan on continuing that for the next few weeks.
o NESA (North East Student Affiliates) filed as unfunded. • Academic Affairs Committee
o NEASC Visit will be Thursday. The Lunch will be on Monday. o Faculty Senate this Monday. o Trying to change the back-up position for our President on Faculty Senate from VP of Senate to Academic Chair.

o John Morabito has been working hard, especially on the make-your-ownmajor thing
• Campus Affairs Committee o Finishing prep for Safety and Lighting Walk o Please go.
• Cultural Affairs Committee o I had a meeting with the President of Slow Foods for Fall Fest o Slow Food’s vendors cannot go on the quad that day
o We did get pumpkins for free and we are going to purchase apples for caramel apples
o I got an email back from the Counseling Center, we can team up with the Disabilities Center if the CC is not responsive. o The Director of the DC thought it would be good to simulate disabilities for the challenge and evaluate, thoughts?

o Received a list of complaints
• External Affairs Committee o Rhody Outpost is tomorrow from 1-6 PM. o Ad will be distributed the day of. o This week has consisted of meeting with Providence Library Staff. o Committee change in time o Narragansett Town Hall meeting last night. o Alfred Bailey went, and apparently talked about Clean-Up o I received a parking complaint which should have gone to Kennedy.
o I am getting a design for the magnets ready.
• New Business o Bill for Article 2 tomorrow o Send your bills
o Give information to Adrianna adequately timed o Go to the Safety and Lighting Walk
