  • President
    • Culture of Respect – Coming to URI as part of the decisions made by the SVPC. This will be a two year process that will put the university under a microscope and work to fix and address issues within the campus culture regarding.
    • Elections – Only one seat not filled. Debate tomorrow night. Elections this week, low amount signed up because so many running.
    • SOLC – Discussion on previous meeting and moving forward.
  • Vice President
    • Commencement is doing poorly because of a lack of applications.
    • On my end, I feel like my committee is ready.
    • We plan on extending the deadline so that more applicants can submit.
    • Progression Meetings are happening.
    • Membership, 5 have dropped recently.
  • Treasurer
    • I signed for the elections, Zach’s stipend.
    • Nothing from SOLC.
    • Senate Assassins started today. When Elections are being conducted, assassins will not happen in the Union.
    • Only small changes from last year’s budget.

    • I need to leave at 8:00 PM

    • This is my position’s last meeting as the CIO, I am sooooooo nostaligic already.
  • Academic
    • My committee was working on Bylaws.
    • We are focusing on liaisons.
    • Discussion on an HRL Liaison.
    • Meeting with CELS Dean.
  • Campus
    • I met with Director Frankie Minor. He wants to introduce himself at Public Forum. He had connections with students at another University.
    • The Director and I also talked about parking and laundry.
    • The Committee talked about creating liaisons.
    • I emailed Stephan Baker. The Parking and Transportation Committee is a thing.
  • Cultural
    • We had T’s over the weekend. We received over $250 in value of donations. We received way more tickets from SEC than we have in the past.
    • We have only 14 participants.
    • Communicate this event to friends.
    • The Women’s Center is holding a Gender Empowerment Week.
    • We are considering a co-sponsorship for this event.
    • The Office of Sustainability is doing an event for Earth Month.
    • Discussion on issue within Disability Services
    • ProtoCall Demonstration discussion. ProtoCall is a 24/7 call service that teams up with universities, counseling center here, to allow for more services for students that need help if facing a crisis.
  • External
    • Narragansett
    • Met with Town Council Liaison President.
  • Finance
    • Working on budgets
    • My plan is to work on Sundays and Wednesdays.
    • Things are looking ok, but we are already $9,000 over budget without Senate Admin. Once we trim off the unnecessary fat, we can get a better sense of what we are dealing with.
    • The days the budget is going on the floor is staying the same.
    • We were given an estimate of $1,125,000.
  • SOARC
    • Stipend reviews are going well. We have one more Senate member to work with. Cigar is coming up next week. SEC is still not signed up.
    • We are on track to finish in time for the budget.
    • Slam Poetry is coming back for recognition.
  • Bylaws
    • Exec materials by Thursday
