– We isolated their keys since they will be de-recognized
– Yearbook will not be recognized as a group but a decision on them will be made in a month
– They are working on recruitment
– Anthropology and Classics will be forming a new club together
– Will merge their funds
– Have to give groups two weeks to repeal their funding status
– Groups will find out their status tomorrow
– Some groups will not be on the bill if they are repealing
– Bill will be on floor next week
– Vote for re-rec will be on 22nd
– Also want to put out an Opinion Bill acknowledging that Bruce can recognize Academic groups on campus and we support it

– Talked to Econ professor today
– Would like to have one of the professors (pay him) to do a head count of the Narragansett economy
– Would pay $400-$1000 pending who we get
– We want him to study how we impact the economy and what the effect of us boycotting the town would be
– Student Life cannot help directly
– Head of town council is running for State Governor
– District 35 (SK and Narragansett)
– Ran unopposed in Primary as Democrat
– Idea to back the Republican candidate
– Want to show that we have power because they see us as irrelevant
– Still waiting on video from Forum
– Sam wants to sue the town
– Boycott:
– Need to figure out how to make it happen
– Need to make it as easy as possible for students
– Split up and appeal to student orgs
– Want to get consensus from students after doing the research
– Want to make deals with Wakefield businesses to make this easier
– Want to do enough of a boycott to create a noticeable profit decrease
– Work with MUSIC and have them reach out to students

Campus:
-Met with Facilities
– Thinking about making a group of Baker, Campus Committee, Dining, etc to discuss issues on campus
– Looking into getting bike racks
– Noise issue still a problem
Finance:
– Bill on the Floor to choose the new Finance Chance will be on the 22nd
– Nominations would start the 29th
– Voting will take place on November 5th
– Then Brian will resign
– MSA needs money for food event (post Ramadan feast)
– Event is on 24th
– Need immediate consideration
– A lot of people go; not necessarily a lot of students
– If we were to fund them half, they would need a loan from us
– Will most likely ask for $1000-2000
– Same problem occurred last year
– If we fund them through Contingency and they charge people, they will owe us that money to pay off the grant
– If we deny them the grant, they will have two days to procur funds
– The Cigar computer grant
– The sheets were filled as two separate grants; now combined into one.
– There’s a $20 difference between the amount in the bill and what was requested so that will be fixed
– Last year they said they weren’t using Media Mate (a national advertising group)
– Now they want to do it, but they aren’t budgeted for it so they will be asking for money

– Will be approaching Finance for an event
