– Working on Formal payments
Campus:
– Met with Dining yesterday accompanied by Yip
– Will have a finalized plan for Butterfield by Wednesday which will be posted online
– They will get Ronzio’s to accept Combo Meals
– Ram Escape will be open until 8 next semester and will have sandwiches
– Rhody Market will be open until 10 PM and have Combos
– Ram’s Den will turn into a dining hall at 3:30 with card access at the door and will stay open until 8
– Want to come talk to Senate on the 3rd
– Will come talk to the President’s Meeting January 28th at 6:30
– Parking is fed up with RIPTA so send complaints if you have any
Finance:
– Will open up the Budgeting Application for the next meeting
– Finished the first draft of the Finance Handbook
– Tweaked the External Accounts Line
– Scrapped the Missing Referendum section
– Trying to balance this without dipping into Student Tax too much
– Working on how to properly fund Security with Bruce
– IFC/Panhel are coming in for their stipends this week
DOC:
– Going to work with Ethan regarding Exam Rights
– Shirts are coming soon; the order has been put in
– Need to get permission to use the URI logo on the shirts
– This is the policy for any printing
SOARC:
– Still recognizing groups
– Introducing a bill this week about Bruce recognizing groups
– Sam King for Vice-Chair (12-0-0)
President:
– John Sears is now coming December 3rd
– No Exec next week
VP
– Working on downpayment for Formal
– Secret Snowman are in everyone’s mailbox
– Need to put an Election’s Bill on the floor for the Spring
– Potentially for the last meeting?
CIO:
– Need to get 13 signatures to make a URI Senate/Alumni Chapter
– Also need an Alumni who was in Senate to be an advisor for the group
– Will approach Neal Kavanagh
– Idea of a nutrition app has been approved but issue is getting the right facts
– Example: serving size
– Looking into getting this ready within 2 years
– Ventful has no plans to make an Android version
– Will be just for Apple and Samsung
– Will hold off on marketing this until we manage to get this app for the Android
DOM
– Want to send out a list at the next Senate meeting to see where people live
– Will help with poster distributions
– Commencement speaker application is being worked on
External:
– The new town council is nice; met with them recently
– Every member of the committee is assigned to someone of the town council
– The new board seems much better!
– There is a big meeting next Monday where they will talk about all the issues taking place
– Resolution of parking is something they will be looking at
– Now have Senate liaisons for all the relevant realtors and student police
Cultural:
– Collecting money for Spirit of Giving
– Starting work on Ace of Cakes
