- Will discuss fund allocation, how professors are evaluated, etc

- Exec has approved allocating funds to allow them to play Wall-E
VP:
- Want each committee to take the new senators and teach them pertinent things about Senate-introduce them to main faculty, show them around office, etc
- Welcome Day Booths are coming up
SOARC:
- Met with committee yesterday
- Have one new group going on for tomorrow
- Budgets are still frozen for several groups and they have been contacted
- NASO and Dressage know they are at risk for de-recognition if they do not respond
- Working on making advisors in her committee to keep Senate more informed
- Will assign a certain committee to be a liaison for certain groups to allow Senate to be more active with student groups
- Will facilitate more communication
- Will work on categories in upcoming weeks once committee is established
Finance:
- Handbook changes in the fall
- Budget is big deal for second semester
- Want to present Finance Handbook before the end of the semester and have it voted on then so student groups will have it for the summer
- However, if you don’t have a 2 term chair, you can’t write it
- Need to change Senate culture regarding knowledge of general senators
- Impacts how they vote on bills regarding student tax money
- Workshop needed to help introduce senators to what financing is about
- Every senator should know a baseline about Finance and SOARC
- Want to make general Senate more accessible to general community
- Have $30,000 in tax funds to work with
Treasurer:
- Cosponsorship money: $5,700
- SAS wants $300-350 for Earth Week
- Stipends are out
Academic:
- UAC are working on academic modeling
- Academic Calendars have come to agreement on formatting and structure
- Nobody liked the old format and categorizing
- Provost canceled last meeting to go to JCAP instead
- Two priorities for upcoming year are CELS and Arts and Sciences
- Need liaisons more accountable
- Also want to work on approving and categorizing more academic groups on campus
CIO:
- Need transition material from President (Maynard), DOC, DOM, and Cultural
- Want to work on some last goals before end of year
- Big revamp of website
Cultural:
- Rhody Paws
- Will give donations to Puppy Raisers
- Diversity Awards are coming up
- DIVERI was great
- CVSA is having an events week
- SAGE is having an event coming up
- Holocaust Remembrance Week is the week of April 16th
Campus:
- Working on RhodyRama
- Want to work with Dining Services to improve events for students and better accessibility
- Next year, want to work with Housing, Dining, etc to see if they have ideas to improve the campus
DOC:
- Will be promoting Rhody Paws
- Want a retractable poster to promote Welcome Days, etc.
